This is a two-session package designed to get you started with the basics, the right way, from the beginning.
Session 1: Understand it, then buy it
- A Bitcoin overview: what it is, how it works at a high level, and how to keep what you buy safe.
- Opening an account: I walk you through opening an account where you can buy bitcoin and moving money in from your checking account.
- Your first purchase: you buy your first bitcoin while I explain each screen.
Session 2: Take custody
- Wallets explained: the difference between bitcoin on an exchange and bitcoin in a wallet you control.
- Setting up your wallet: installing it, writing down and storing your backup, and testing that you could recover it.
- Moving your bitcoin: a small test send first, then the rest.
- Next steps: where to go from here, depending on your goals.

Will you see my passwords or have access to my money?
No. You do everything directly on your own computer. I never see your passwords or have access to any of your funds.
How much do I need to buy?
Start with an amount you'd be fine losing entirely while you learn. The process is exactly the same for $20 as for $20,000.
