Privacy

This is the website of Your Personal Bitcoin Assistant. I try to collect and store the minimum personal information needed. I'm not a lawyer, nor a megacorporation with a department of lawyers on retainer, so here is in plain language what is collected and why.

Visiting this site

This site is a set of plain web pages. It uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts, and its fonts and images are served from this site rather than from Google or other third parties.

Like any website, the server that hosts it sees your IP address and your browser's details when you visit, and may keep them in its logs for a while to operate and protect the service. I don't collect, combine or analyse that information. Everyone between your device and this site (your internet provider, for example) can also see that you visited.

Booking, payments and the blog

Booking, checkout and the blog run on software I host myself, not on a third-party platform. When you use them, they keep what you give them:

Booking a call stores your name, email address, the time you chose and anything you write in the booking form, so that I can meet you and send confirmations and reminders.
Paying creates an invoice with the amount, the item and the email address you give at checkout. Bitcoin payments are recorded on the Bitcoin blockchain, which is public.
The blog has no accounts or comments. Reading it works like reading this site.

I don't sell or share this information with anyone. I will comply with valid legal requests.

Links and embedded content

Some pages link to other websites, such as podcasts and recommended tools. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy practices apply. Links marked affiliate let that company know you came from here.

Your data, your rights

You own your personal data. If you've booked or bought something and want a copy of what I hold about you, or want it deleted, email me, except where I'm obliged to keep records for tax or legal purposes.

Email

This policy covers this website. Email is far less private than a web page: messages can often be read by the systems that carry them. Take precautions that fit your level of concern, and never send seed phrases, passwords or private keys by email to anyone.
